Service Technician

Are you looking to join a company that truly cares about our customers after we’ve installed their products? The Service Technician uses a wide range of tools to perform service and warranty repairs on windows and doors and assist with installations and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and service windows and doors installed by the company.
  • Assist with the installation of windows and doors as needed.
  • Repair and/or replace door hinges, handles, hardware, closers, screens, and other components of windows and doors.
  • Interact with residential customers on-site in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Service Technician to diagnose and repair hardware mechanisms on windows and doors.
  • Communicate with suppliers’ service departments to repair or troubleshoot windows and doors effectively.
  • Effectively communicate with customers and Lead Service Technician to ensure the highest quality of service and repairs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and provide consistent work.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to read mechanical plans and diagrams.
  • Mechanical inclination.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience, or on-the-job training.
  • Experience working with wood, clad, vinyl, and composite materials.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record. (For company vehicle use when required.)

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of standing.
    • Must have adequate balance and ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
    • Must be able to lift 75 pounds at times.
    • Requires travel to jobsite within a predetermined radius in a company-provided vehicle.
