At Chapman Windows Doors and Siding, we believe our responsibility extends beyond the homes we improve. That’s why we’re excited to announce our partnership with Fiorenza’s Food for Friends (F4). F4 is a non-profit organization based in West Chester, PA dedicated to reducing food waste and fighting hunger in the community. Through food recovery and community outreach, F4 coordinates the delivery of surplus food to individuals and families who need it. Our partnership with F4 means we are supporting the local West Chester community on an ongoing basis, in several ways.
Monthly Food Recovery
One of the primary ways we support West Chester residents is through monthly food recovery volunteering. Chapman employees give up their spare time to pick up surplus food from local businesses that would otherwise be wasted. The food is dropped off at the West Chester Food Cupboard where it becomes available to local families.
Community Food Drives
In addition to the food recovery efforts, Chapman is running quarterly food drives. Our first, a back-to-school drive, runs from August 3 through August 28. The next food drive will be our December Holiday Food Drive. These drives help to stock the West Chester Food Cupboard during two of the year’s busiest times. Employees and community members are encouraged to participate by donating non-perishable food items.
Proud Sponsor of the F4 Chili Cookoff
We’re also excited to participate in the annual F4 Chili Cook-Off which takes place on October 11th. This community event brings local businesses, volunteers, and families together for a day of great food and an even greater cause. The community can enjoy a day full of good food and entertainment while F4 uses the proceeds to support its hunger-relief efforts. Chapman employees will also volunteer throughout the event.
