Even though I chose not to remove the original frame, they improved the fit, restored the door’s original height, and cleaned up the frame so it looks brand new. The back door was easier, but both turned out beautifully. The team was polite, professional, and even dusted my furniture before leaving. I’ll definitely be using Chapman again for windows and siding!
Chapman did a phenomenal job replacing my front and back doors! My front door was especially challenging since my home was built in the 1850s. We asked for a quote on a whole-house window replacement, but the salesman (who we later learned was Mr. Chapman himself!) looked at our original windows and told us that we didn’t need new windows at all! He explained in detail how they could be fixed by replacing the balances on the double-hung windows that had broken. We did, however, decide to replace the double-hung, over-the-sink window with an awning-type window. We had to wait a few months for the window to be constructed at a Midwest factory. The installation needed a few tweaks, but the installer was up to the task. Several weeks later the painter came to touch up the job. If we ever need windows, we’ll go back to Chapman. As a side note, Mr. Chapman had asked the installer to leave the two balances that the installer removed from the old window so we can reuse them on our old windows. We also were very impressed with the office staff and the salesman who helped us when we went to the showroom to see the window we would be receiving. I had Chapman Windows replace 10 windows in my home. They arrived on the day and time they were scheduled. Each day they arrived early! They covered EVERYTHING and put runners down to cover my rugs. Each day they left my house in perfect condition. When they finished, they explained exactly how they work, how to clean them, the warranty, etc. The crew was fabulous and a joy to work with. The materials and workmanship are top notch, I am very happy with the final products. The only downside is that I had to wait a year for installation once I placed the order. The communication from Chapman was responsive throughout the year though, so I was confident things would get done when they could.
