Dutch Doors

New and Replacement Dutch Doors

Dutch doors spark emotions and memories for consumers who choose this style of door. A Dutch door is a single door, divided in two in the middle. This allows the top portion of the door to open while the bottom portion remains closed. Latches secure both halves. These doors offer unique uses both as interior or exterior doors.

Dutch Door Features

Dutch doors are typically used in homes with a farmhouse design. They are also very popular in chic country homes. Today’s designers are putting these doors with a contemporary twist in new homes.

Any door can become a Dutch door. Whether ultramodern or traditional, if it has solid wood along the portion to be “dutched” it will work.

Styles

Bungalow doors – Traditionally with glass panes on the top portion. Great for kitchens and mud rooms.

Contemporary doors – Usually solid wood, with the opportunity to let in fresh air with more privacy. Great for second home entry doors, and kitchens and laundry rooms
Barn Doors – Solid glass on the top portion, these doors most reflect the original barn look. Fun for kitchens, mud rooms, pool houses, anywhere where fresh air is desired.
