Built on a Lifetime of Construction
Chapman Windows Doors & Siding was destined to be long before it officially began. Founders Mike and Mark Chapman were raised in rural Ohio, coming from a long line of family builders. From an early age, construction was part of everyday life. By their teenage years, they had already worked on countless projects, developing the craftsmanship and work ethic that still guide our company today.
In the 1980s, Mike Chapman relocated to Chester County, Pennsylvania, where he continued working in construction. In the early 1990s, he teamed up with his father-in-law, Jim Reddecliff, forming Air Tight Home Improvements, Inc. Operating out of a small home office with just one truck, Mike and Jim focused on meticulous workmanship and outstanding customer service.
That commitment paid off. Through word of mouth alone, the business quickly became known throughout the Greater Delaware Valley as a trusted residential remodeling company.
From One Truck to a Trusted Name
As the company grew, it became clear more support was needed. Mark Chapman joined the team, bringing a background in accounting and operations management that perfectly complemented the growing business. For a time, the entire operation ran out of a tiny office before moving into a modest 300-square-foot space.
In 1994, opportunity knocked again. While purchasing building materials for their own projects, Mike, Jim, and Mark repeatedly encountered poor service and limited expertise in the marketplace. They saw a clear need—and an opportunity—to do better.
That same year, Chapman Windows Doors & Siding was born. The vision was simple but powerful: create a turnkey sell-and-install business that offered high-quality building materials, expert guidance from industry professionals, and careful, detail-driven installation—all under one roof.
Growing Without Losing Our Values
Just eight years after launching, Chapman purchased its flagship 4,000-square-foot showroom in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The single GMC TopKick truck has since been replaced by a full fleet of vehicles, and in 2022, we proudly opened our second location in Wayne.
While much has changed since 1994, our vision and mission have not. We continue to operate by what we call The Chapman Difference—a set of core values that underpin everything we do. These values guide how we serve our customers, how we work as a team, and how we support our local community.

With more than three decades of experience, we offer products and partnerships that set us apart. We are the only local suppliers of Loewen and NanaWall, and our 30+ year relationship with ProVia—our very first manufacturer—allows us to offer exclusive styles and color options not found elsewhere.
Our showroom in West Chester is staffed by knowledgeable professionals who invite you to see, touch, and compare products at your own pace. Prefer to shop from home? We’ll bring the showroom to you. Either way, you’ll never hear, “That’s not my department.”
