Project Consultant
Are you looking to join a company that truly cares about helping their customers choose the perfect windows, doors and siding? As a Project Consultant, you are at the beginning of the purchasing journey. You’ll use your expertise and skills to educate and empower customers on their choices.
Responsibilities:
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
- Travels to customer homes when required during the sales process to accurately understand the customer’s needs.
- Educates and engages customers in a consultative sales approach with confidence through extensive product knowledge during showroom appointments and in-home demonstrations.
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Uses DocuSign for all sales agreements, contracts, and change orders.
- Maintains accurate files and records of all sales and communications with each customer.
- Performs initial measurements for estimation purposes. This includes traveling to a customer’s home and measuring current windows, doors, and siding.
- Accurately orders products from manufacturers in a timely fashion after measurements are reviewed and finalized.
- Verifies each order is correct with the exact measurements, product, color, specifications, and quantity in the supplier’s system.
- Utilize our CRM system to track and manage customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-up tasks.
- Track productivity by entering and maintaining accurate records of customer sales; produce weekly reporting including customer quotes, orders, issues, and other metrics as required.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read a tape measure within a ¼”
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative and creative solutions to customers’ needs.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, target-driven setting.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a drive to succeed in a competitive sales environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with Customer Relation Management (CRM) software and ability to learn new programs.
Education & Experience:
- Experience in the Home Improvement industry a plus, but not required.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience.
- High School Diploma Required.
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus, but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to regularly travel throughout the region.
